Hi. I was on CL and found a guy who was selling a CRX. He had no idea what he had... first, he thought it was a 92 and had no title. I found out that the CRX had a B17a1 and tranny, had Si wheels with newer tires and had this really weird hood that Ive NEVER seen on a CRX before. I searched the internet and cant find another one like it for a CRX.. If you have more info, please give me a link to it..
I'm looking to sell the hood, but dont know what I should as for it. It is made of fiberglass. It is rattle canned ugly black, but in good condition.
PS. I live in Kansas City, MO

 

I would drive it with no hood versus that hood... Never seen anything like this before tho

The car is going to be junked. Theres no way to restore this car without spending a ton of money. Only things im keeping is the drivetrain, wheels and hood.

I just found the one on cardomain. It actually doesnt look that bad when its painted and matches the car.

Check Jegs or kragen.. Look at the cheap shitty parts distributors. Its just a fiberglass cowel hood. Clean it up and go sell it at the swap meet.

I think I remember hoods like that from '01-02 haha, maybe they were called "Invader" or was it "Vader"... Either way, when I pick up parts cars with body kits and hoods like that I don't put them back on the market, they go to the scrap pile. I can't stand the thought of someone putying an old fiberglass kit on an EF that would otherwise be clean and worth saving.

Yikes! that hood needs to go, and looks like you need a new headlight ... It sort of reminds me of the Trans Am hood.

The hood isnt a stock hood with firebird scoops attached. Its a full fiberglass hood and the scoops are part of it. It came this way.
Throwing it away would be borderline retarded. I'll sell this thing to one of many, many ricers for atleast $100.

 

actually throwing it away is the best thing you can do with it. im almost ready to send you the 100$ you want, but you have to post a vid of that burning into ashes and then the ashes blowing away

 

I hate to give my biased opinion on it, but think of all the good clean EF Civics and CR-Xs that should be saved, taken care of and/or restored for future generations. The last thing we need is more ricers! Think of it this way, by throwing away that hood less rice is seen in the future, therefore fools who don't know any better won't think of doing such a thing to an otherwise nice car...

You guys are making way too big a deal out of this.. Its just a hood. In my honest opinion, spending $300 on a carbon fiber hood that looks totally stock is dumber than installing this hood. To each his own. Whatever, dont want to argue with anyone.

Totally willing to burn the hood and make a video for $100 and post on youtube. PST me lol
