Ok. so here is the deal... I got a sweet deal on a 2000 civic dx with a b18c type r swap... problem is it belonged to a older guy who doesnt know much about it he said he bought it that way.. the problem im having is it will not go over 80 mph for some reason im not sure if its the ecu or something else if someone could help it would really help me out thanx

 

I don't even know where to begin with this but i'll try... is it auto or standard?

 

don't forget, what exactly happens at 80 mph
sputter?
groan?
just wont go further?
etc.

 

its standard..... at 80 it doesnt want to go faster and its not redlining it seems like its straining or something..it doesnt sputter im not sure if its the gear ratio or the ecu

 

See if you can borrow an ECU from somebody and try that

 

in any gear?
