Moving to SoCal...
Moving to Cali, had some questions.. How to go about JDM swaps and passing emissions..are you getting success with original JDM motors and ECU's passing? how does Smog work with OBD1 cars and OBD1 motors with JDM ECU's or with OBD2 motors in OBD1 cars with OBD1 ECU's? any insight would help, if its impossible with JDM ecus and motors ill just skip the honda scene for a while...Thanks and hopeing to see what cali has to offer in the honda world.
BTW im up north(oregon) frankly here they can care less what motor is in what car, OBD1 cars here only go through a sniffer and NO visual inspection. So any info besides saying just use USDM would be nice, but mainly just seeing whats being done to get JDM motors and ECUs to work...thanks a bunch hope to be moving sometime in june!!

I passed smog fine with a obd2 motor in a obd1 integra. I just used the obd2 longblock with all the obd1 accessories (dizzy, injectors, harness, ecu). Moving to Temecula? Not much there..
It was a usdm motor. The only way a JDM motor will pass smog in Cali is if it has all the usdm accessories on it, just like converting from obd2 to obd1. JDM manifold is missing a vacuum line and smog will catch it visually. Good luck
ok kool good to know thanks...obd2 manifolds same as obd1 manifolds?(Bseries)
