Default Opinoins on the Everlast Power Ultra 205?

well guys I'm offered a smoking deal on one of these and was wondering what you all thought of this machine.... the guy bought it for 850 and never used it, and is offering it to me for 400, he has the packing slip and reciept for it. it has TIG and SMAW capabilities as well as Plasma cutting up to 1"....i currently have an old school sycrowave 180 and wouldn't mind another machine in the shop and all....

what do you all think?

Thanks in advance,

Bo0st!

I would scoop it for that price, but make sure you give the thing a test drive first. They can have decent problems right out of the box. I have a 250ex that seems to be holding up pretty well so far. I'm going to kick myself in the *** when it needs servicing though, unless this company gets their **** together.

Somethings you prob. won't like:

The foot pedal sucks and the torch is enormous.

There customer support over the phone is terrible. It's extremely difficult to get a hold of anyone other than the rude shipping bitch. The guys that sell the machines can't tig very well but seem to think they know it all. They never have any machines in stock and you always seem to be waiting for months for any products.

It took about a month or so to get my machine (came in dented and with the bezels smashed) Took about another month to finally get both of the bezels.

The revised lower profile foot pedal took about 4 months to get and my water cooler took 5 months to receive. They kept making excuses as to why I didn't have them and gave me attitude every single time.

Overall the machine is good, but the company seems like a cluster ****. But like I said before, for that price you can't complain if it breaks a year from now :D
