Help! Adjusting Pedal after Rear Disc Swap...
Today I got a Mity-Vac and bled all my brake lines. When the car is off I can press the pedal down only a little and it is very firm. However once the car is on I have to press it very far before it makes contact. It's not squishy, just dead space. I guess perhaps the effort it takes to apply pads is less than shoes or something...
So my question is if I adjust the pedal will it make the contact area in the middle, or will it just give me even more dead space?

I asked someone else and they said pedal travel on all discs is more than with rear drum. And my brother has a stock MX6 with all discs (the only other all disc car I've ever driven) and you need to press his pedal down far also...
Did you swap out the proportioning valve? It may be that. Make sure you are bleeding the brakes in the correct order as well. R/R-L/F-L/R-R/F. It does make a difference. As far as pedal travel, I have never noticed a difference and I have Both, 91 Si (rear disk) and 88 HF (rear drum).
Nah I have the prop valve but never installed it. I may just ride it out until I feel like doing it and then just rebleed everything.
