Charging Issues on a 94 vx with a d15b

Charging Issues on a 94 vx with a d15b
I can not keep a charge on my hatch.
the alt went bad took it in to napa to get it switched and have trouble since. I have replaced the alt with a known working one, tested it, and its pushing out a 14.2v but its not reaching the battery. Its a nipondenso (2138686 napa) i can not think of anything else to check. Its to the point that its push start only and runs off the battery. I have checked and checked again fuses, replaced all of them, cleaned the plug from the harness to the alt and im running out of ideas....any help would be great thanks!!!!!

twenty some what views and no reply.....anyone??? it idles at 12.4v with lights and heater rill jumpy from 12-12.7v im stumped i can push start it and it goes but wont stay charged!!!!!! And no the starter is not out

Where are you measuring this voltage? What's the voltage under no electrical load?
