Default Fog Lights Help

I am having problems with my fog lights.

I bought these fog lights:

Everything is grounded and wired correctly but I am not getting any power. My friend checked out with his tool and he said the brown plug that is with the switch harness is not giving out any power. He said I can wire it to my headlights instead of using the switch to get power. How would I go upon doing that? My fog lights have its own relay, is it safe?

(03 civic lx sedan)

P.S. I don't know a thing about cars so it would be nice if anyone could explain in depth.

You are tapping the 12volt source for your headlights and using it to switch on your fog light relay. You can do that, but get yourself a multimeter and find out where your original power is...

Chances are if it's and ebay kit, harness is wired wrong, I don't remember which wire or wires but I remember that something was wired wrong or poorly wired...

Relayed fogs will not supply power if your high beams are on. Also, the parking lights must be on and possibly the key in the on position. Also, did you check the fuse? Make sure about all of this before testing your power supply at the harness.

Where can I find the source? Is it supposed to be in the fuse box? Is the source a certain color?

I don't think it's an ebay kit. I got it off of Amazon:

The fog light's wiring that are on ebay looks very different from what I have.

My friend checked both high beam and low beam, nothing worked. Tried having key on the on position as well. I'm pretty sure friend checked fuse as well. I might have just gotten a faulty switch harness. I can't exchange it either because I didn't report it within 24 hours (Dumb rule). I'm just going to hook it up onto the headlights like my friend suggested I should do, but how?

Just tap a wire that runs from your parking lights and run it to #85 your relay. That way your fogs will work when your parking lights are on and it wont matter what mode your headlights are in.

Okay, how do I know which one is my parking lights wire?

EDIT: Never mind, problem solved.
