just dropped a d15 in a 88 crx. while tightening the positive on the battery i hit ground with my rachet. for some reason, the key was in with the ignition on. now the starter won't run when cranking. it still work if i hook up power to the starter signal. i also can't hear the fuel pump when turning onto ignition. i think it could be the ignition switch or main relay but i had never dealt with those parts before. any one got suggestions? thanks
get a multi meter.
test to see if the battery is even still good, depending on how long the ratchet was there, the battery may be bad, check the main fuses.
had a similar problem on our 89 crx, (w/o doing the ratchet thing). and we would yank on the wire to the starter, and things fixed itself. it wound up being a loose wire. so check all the wires going to/from the battery, incl the grounds.
