A new friend of mine had his 96's transmission fail on him for some unknown reason... so I sold him the tranny out of my 95 once I had the 5 speed swap done, and shortly after having it put in, this SECOND transmission failed on him in a similar fashion to the first.

What could be the issue!?!? The transmission worked great in my car! Could it be his car? His engine? I gave him all the parts from my car, pedals, axles, even the shifter! Please answer asap this is his DD car!

 

Wow, two 5th gen trannys....impressive.

For the third, be sure the throttle control cable is properly adjusted. Also inspect the trans "cooling" system for any issues.
