This topic comes up every week, do a search. If not then your best bet is just to do it and find out.

I gutted my CRX last week and the back itself is just so little. It's maybe 20 lbs total for everything in the back removed. This is not counting the spare or jack. Those are things i won't take out.

The only way you can really take out serious weight from a CRX is to go all the way and gut it all out. I mean all the interior has to be taken out for you to get any performance gain. You definitely would want to get the A/C out cause that thing weighs about 50 lbs and also getting light rims should really help. If you do those 3 things, you should improve your time maybe .3-.5 minimum easy.

Probably about 1800lbs if you remove the sunroof and interior panels along with the carpeting, insulation, and that tar crap. That also includes removing the bumpers under the bumper covers, removing the passenger seat, and replacing the stock seat with a race seat. That doesn't account for any alternative materials. If you are going to use it for racing though, you will have to install a cage which will add about 100lbs back again. My DX weighed 1870 in full race trim, with no alternative materials, and the windows still in. If you are thinking about gutting your car and prepping it for racing, you might just want to buy my old one instead...
