Stock girdle is fine (for ALL applications).

I don't care how much boost you run, the stock girdle is fine.

sorry for the no too discriptive post.
this is for TYPE R owners that need the extra security and for LS owners this is a must.

The Z10 girdle is heavy and well constructed very very solid piece, I am actually very very exited about the product, soo bigg, soo heavy duty, so very very nice shot peened and all, Im just happy I find this great product, for all you guy with LS vtec or b20 this is the piece you need the (missing link) the end of all your worries MAN this is great. thank.

if you want to put one on, you have to take your block apart, have the girdle
pinned and the main journals align honed. this is not an option, this is a MUST.

TheRiddler: make sure you know this.

Shot peened? not unless they stopped making them out of billet aluminum
end of all your worries? lol some mighty big words there. the question is can
you back them up? probably not.

Ironic that this girdle that is supposed to add security actually makes things worse unless you do a whole bunch of crap that Z10 doesn't even tell you about. When they were one of our sponsors at Team Integra they offered me one for free if I put it on my Integra and documented the install.

The instructions Z10 sent me were basically remove stock girdle and caps, reinstall caps then bolt on girdle. Ugh no way was I letting that thing touch my motor.

I heard they caused problems somewhere. I think it was in the FI forum. Stock should be ok as said previously.

ANY girdle, stock or otherwise will cause problem if NOT INSTALLED CORRECTLY.

When I asked Import Builders to build me my motor I told them to install the z10 block girdle also. They told me that I didn't need it so I saved $300 bucks at the time. If the girdle is needed so much then why was I recommended not to buy it ? Has anyone run into any problems if installed correctly?
