Icon3 post mounts screws snaped

sup guy so i have 88 crx swapd with a ls. So I was on my way home from work and heard something was grinding. I stoped saw that my crank pully was eating away at my radius bar. I open the hood and i see that my post mount is all lose and the screws were snaped I had my friend tow it home. so my question is if i would be able to tap the screws?? or if i should just find a new block like a b20? or get another ls?? any help appreciated Thanks

A pic might help but you should be able to drill the screws and possibly use an easy out to get whats left out,if the easy out does not work you could just drill the screw out to retap the holes.
The big question is why did the screws snap in the first place?
