how do i get the plastic covers off to access my speakers, its a 93 accord wagon

 

I recently replaced speakers on my 93 accord. I carefully peeled the plastic back as it is attached with a tar like substance -- and it was re-usable.

 

i have 4 speakers in my 92 accord lx... 2 on the front doors and 2 behind the back seats. i know for sure the back speaker covers had to be unscrewed from inside the trunk. i dont remember the door speakers tho. i think they might have just popped right off with a screw driver. i wouldnt try forcing that tho if you dont know for sure.

 

Yes, that's how I changed out the rear speakers, screws came out through the trunk -- real easy to do. The fronts were a little trickier. The entire side panels are held on by plastic tabs and several screws - this has to come off before peeling the plastic back (which I assume is there to protect the speakers and inside of door. Look closely for screw locations for door panel as there are three or four Ithink. Also have to remove the door handle latch which is a bit tricky.
