is $500 a good deal for a ef shell in decent shape?
I should warn you that life expectancy of threads with no tech on this forum is about 3 hours. Most common answer for your question is: is it worth this much TO YOU?
Personally, hell no, ok. maybe if it was 1989 Si, than I would negotiate. But what you are buying is a project car, which means a money pit. At my junk yard, or in craigslist searches, they sell swaps for approx. $300 bucks (with tranny). I don't know where you live, but if you were in California, this weak engine may be difficult to smog.
Let me put it in perspective. I purchased my commuter with blown head gasket for $250.
