Default 98 Honda Civic Ex Automatic Convert To 5spd

Hey,

Im just curious if anyone can give me any advice, pros/cons on converting a 98 honda civic ex automatic to a 5 speed. I bought the car cheap, its in good condition but I have no interest in it bc its an automatic. Would it be worth it to convert it, I am capable of doing the swap in my garage so labor cost is not a concern. Any idea what Id be looking at in parts for the convertion? Thanks for any tips

No cons in my opinion...Did one in my 98 hatch that I had. You will need the 5spd transmission, 5spd ECU, Pedal assembly, Clutch components, shift linkage, and some simple wiring for the Park signal so you can take your key out when you shut the vehicle off. Its all stuff you can find at your local wrecking yard. My 96 EK Hatch was also once automatic as well. If the vehicle is in good shape and you like it...why not? Go for it! Since you are capable of doing a swap..even better.
