Icon2 need good and easy swap for 98 accord lx

I was wondering if a jdm f20b (jdm 97-01 accord sir-t ) would be a good swap for a 1998 accord lx and could I continue using my old oem transmission . Would it be a very complicated project and would are some modifications I might need to get done or what other parts I will need.(what can I keep and what do I need to get)

Please search the forum FAQ and the rest of the forum. This question is asked at least a few times a week so there is plenty of info floating around.

May I ask why the swap? Is boosting the F23a1 not an option? Because it does take boost quite well (again, read up on the forums and you'll see).

Actually the 6th gen swap info in the FAQ is rather lacking. But the search feature may net you a few good threads to peruse! Seems like there are not a lot of 6th gen owners sharing their info here on H-T. Or maybe there just aren't a lot of people doing swaps in the 6th gen. IMO a K series would suit them pretty well.

Yeah the FAQ is lacking, but it has the H22 swap in there still (I think) and there are definitely a good amount of threads (many have been recent) with at least most of the info for doing H series and the F20b (which is basically an H series) swaps.

I don't think swaps are quite as common in the 6th gen as the 5th for sure, but considering the strengths of the F23a for boosting it makes sense why I see a lot of people just going that route (not that the F22a's and b's are good for boosting either).

Also to be factored in: I don't think the 6th gen is as desirable as the 5th gen's for "modding", and ALL the 6th gen years fall into emissions testing (compared to half the 5th gen's and none of the 4th gens) where it exists.

K series is one I haven't seen, though it would probably need to be the TSX motor (or new Civic Si motor if you will). I think it's torque comes in around when the F23's does so that might work pretty well. I know if I had that kind of money laying around and really wanted a swap that's what I would try!

Anyway, that was a quite a tangent. Seriously though OP, take a look through the first couple pages on this sub-forum. I know I saw threads with relevant info in them.

There's another dude from SuperHonda who did the JDM F20B swap in his 6th Gen and man, he went through a mess of wiring. Doesn't look fun at all knowing it's an OBD2 and the damn 3-wire IACV part.

Yeah there's a guy who posted something a few days ago about doing the F20b and from what I remember he experienced some wiring issues.

Though I know guys doing an OBD-I H22a go through some of the same problems as well.

EDIT: Ah, here it is.
