Default 1998 Radiator for a b16a2 engine!

Hello,

I swapped a b16a2 in my 1998 honda civic coupe ex and used my radiator from my ex civic. I also used the existing upper and lower radiator hoses from the 1999 Si.

It has been about a month since I did the swap and have been driving it with no problems. The temp gauge reads just a tad bit below half and has been there since I did the swap. It all seems to be fine, but I have read that one person on HT has said it will over heat. I have seen any issues so far, but summer is coming and don't know if it will be an issue.

I guess my question is, will the radiator from my stock ex be ok? Anyone have this same set up with actual experience?

Your input is greatly appreciation.

Thank You!

Stock rad works fine. Friend of mine ran a stock single core rad in a '92 Si with GS-R swap for years with no issues and it was beat on constantly.

Whoever told you that lied. Unless you are making mad HP, a stock non-leaking Honda radiator will be fine.

my best bet buy a aluminum radiator it will never leak plus it will keep your engine temps down when its like insane hot outside. i bought one off ebay and never gave me any issues when i did my b16 swap into my eg. you can pick one up for like 70 bucks tops including shipping.
