hi a customer came in (lady rider) the other day and introduced me to the ATK 250cc bike 2011 and she says its the size of a 600cc bike.. and i've googled it and it looks awesome but they only show side pics does anyone have a frontal pic of it? or has anyone riden this bike? im sure its super slow..

i gave up riding few years ago due to a broken neck (through car accident) but i would love to start up riding again.. and i think a 250cc bike would keep me safe (not going 160 mph that kinda safe. lol! )

i've owned/ridden a r1/cbr1000 never anything lower than that..

APR 2011 issue, Motorcycle Consumer News had a 250cc Sportbikes Comparison: CBR250R, Ninja 250 and ATK GT250R.

The ATK does come with dual rotors/calipers front brakes and USD adjustable forks.
Not sure about $4k figure for the Honda 250, more likely in mid $4k.

IMO none of them are significantly better performing than pre-gen Ninja 250, which you can find used in good condition for under $2k. And they are lighter weight, come with a center stand.
Looks are not so important for me.

 

what about the 2010 Bennche Megelli 250R it looks awesome!! best lookin 250cc ive seen.. where can one get one of these? and the msrp is about 3400$

 

so who rides a 250cc here? im going from 1000cc to 250cc.. to be safer.. so i can't go fast for sure lol!

 

I have my Blackbird, which gets ridden about once/twice a month,



but last summer I bought a used Ninja 250 for $450, it was stored outside, did not run, I fixed it up and rode it three times a week to school that was 46 miles away, and got over 70 mpg:



I sold that Ninja back in Sept 2010, for over $2k. This past Feb. I bought my 2nd Ninja 250 for $850, now it gets ridden daily, Sitting next to my friend's BMW:
