Default Alternator on it's way out?

My head lights, instrument lights, or any of my panel lights have been dimming out on my car(idle also jumps down when voltage changes). So I checked for the battery voltage and I was getting a reading of 14.5 volts with the lights at the dim point. When the lights brighten up again I get a reading of 18 volts. I have only had the battery for about 3 months and when I search high battery voltage on google, the only topics I get is for a bad battery. Any thoughts?

Why don't you get it tested and find out?

Will do so within the next few days at an autozone. I'm just seeing if anyone else has had these symptoms so I can just order it right away.
