Default rods

do any of you guys run higher than stock rpm on stock rods?
what rpm are stock rods good to?

is there any dif. between gsr/r rods and ls rods as far as strength/rpm limit?

TIA - I am thinking about B20 /w R head, but I am trying to limit my costs!

ITR rods are different from GSR rods.

I'd have no qualms about taking ITR rods up to 9000+ rpm.

What crank are you planning to use in a B20 block that would allow you to use ITR rods?

I`d go aftermarket rods while it`s in pieces. Might save you some time/labor down the road.

Reid - I was actually going to be using the b20 crank (and most likely the rods), I was just curious as to the strength diferance in the differant rods... I dont have R rods (I thought they were the same as gsr which I do have a spare set of from my last motor) but I didnt know they were not interchangeable...

the common consesnsus seems to be dont rev to 8400 with the b20 rods..

what if I get them shot peened and use arp bolts in them?

with arp bolts and balancing the b20/b18 rods are just as good as gsr/itr rods.
