hey I don't see a DX AEM Intake anywhere. They list the 88-91 Si/Ex Intake which is for the 1.6L. Which AEM Intake is best for my DX 1.5L? Is custom fitting necessary?

Hey, I kind of need a definitive answer. Don't bother with an intake for the 1.5L? Converting to MPFI is something I'm unlikely to do, so should I basically leave the intake stock?
Naturally, I'd like to buy an intake (CAI or short ram) since the sound alone is worth the price of admission! lol, j/k. What's involved in fitting the Si intake to the DX? I know someone has done or attempted this so help me out.

Is it the whirry-whiny lawnmower on crack sound?
OK first yeah the intake would do nothing for performance or sound on a DX but if you really insist on getting an intake for your DX its the same intake as on an Si.

Dryer vent hose and a $20.00 APC cone filter! Lol J/k
If you are planning to do anything to the car buy for your future plans. If you are absolutely needing something right now buy a K&N filter that fits the stock airbox and remove all the ductwork exept the tube from the throttlebody and the airbox. Get a Dremel and skeletonize the bottom of the airbox as much as possible but be sure to keep a basic frame in mind so the stucture of the airbox is intact enough to hold it to the car. Just remember that the airbox is plastic so cut it outside so you don't breath in the fumes of melting plastic. Once you do the cutting don't touch the melted plastic, Let it cool then the melted edges will snap off to a nice clean edge. Hope this helps!
