Default h22 Intake Manifold question

I searched and couldn't find a definitive answer to this, I know stacking Bored IAB plates increases runner length and thus power up top, but has anyone completely removed the IAB plate and tested on a stock h22? This would reduce the intake runner length by apx 1" and everything lines up and bolts up after removing the studs.

Any thoughts? Did I mis a thread in my search?

Actually, longer runner length makes more low end torque. Short runners are better for top end. I do not have any personal experience with that specific modification but I can tell you if you decided to do that you could be sacrificing some torque in a very useful part of the engines power band within the stock parameters of the h22 engine. I think its best Jerod if you do a little more research on intake manifold setups. You might want to look into Blacktrax's spacer if you are interested in making the most out of the P13 manifold
