Default Replacing Del Sol Antenna

The antenna on my Del sol is broken. I was going to buy the OEM but I wanted a more modern feel. I haven't been able to take my antenna out but just wondering it's not the simple screw off, screw on type is it?

Would this work>

S2k antenna is best option for a modern touch.

to remove your current antenna:

either take a small beacked pliers and put it in the 2 small "gaps" in the chrome plaque at the bottom of the antenna and screw it loose.

if it's too stuck ( which is often the case ), get a friend to help and instead of the pliers put it 2 flat screwdrivers with the size of the gaps horizontally in the gaps. now let your friend use a 3rd bigger screwdriver and put it in between the 2 you are strongly holding down and let your friend turn it loose.

A little lubrication can be helpfull when you've given it it's first pop .. then you can use the pliers for further screwing

Sorry for my english .. i'm belgian

Is it a simple procedure? I have like no knowledge with cars. If I were to convert to an S2000 antenna what parts would I need?

Can't help you with that .. i've shaved my antenna and installed an inside-model .. which was also useless since i never listen to the radio lol

It's very simple.

The cheapest solution is to get a replacement one from crutchfield - if you're OK with a stock look. Just unplug the cable from the back of the antenna unit and replace. You might remove some interior trim to make the job easier.

I'll think about it. Maybe I'll just get a block off plate. I rarely listen to the radio since they replay the same songs every hour
