Which is a better deal: Compare 1 used vs 1 Certified Pre-Owned
Both cars are 2009 EXLs, pretty much identical in terms of mileage and appearance. All-in prices are $22,000 and $24,000
The Certified Pre-owned has the following advantage:
-1 extra year/12,000 miles of bumper to bumper.
-2 extra year/40,000 miles power train warranty
-It has gone through the 150 point inspection
1. Do you think that these 3 things are worth an extra $2,000?
2. I assume the dealer will show you the Certification report and what they fixed?

I'm going to say "no." But it also depends on where this used CRV came from. Private owner? Or Some used car lot.
You can tell some history by doing the basics. But the bottom line if it's still covered under the 3/36 warranty, I would not worry about it to save $2,000.
There are independent Honda shops that will do an inspection for about $100.
