E-Brake button???

E-Brake button???
Instead of having an "outie" e-brake button I have 1 that sits flush with the lever. Any idea how to fix???? Been like that since I got the car a few months ago. Can anyone help???

there's a tiny ratcheting mechanism that the button pushes on you would have to take the center console off and look at where the buttion is missing, you may just have to replace the entire assembly from a junk yard.
