how to tell if you are low on tranny fluid?
are there symptoms of being low on tranny fluid? last night i drained the fluid and put 2.75qt back in, but i spilled at least .25qt. will the tranny make a sound or feel off when low on fluid?
You should not take any chances and check the proper way.
With the car on leveled ground, remove the refill bolt and check with your finger if the oil goes right up flush with the edge of the hole.

i cant fit my finger in there
When changing your tranny fluid, just pour new fluid in until it starts coming out of the fill hole (that's the proper level), make sure your car is leveled.
You only need 2.2 litres (2.3 US qt) during a tranny oil change so I think you're fine.

i'm in good shape, i might even have too much fluid.
if you look at the R the rear is slightly higher than the front, but on jack stands they'll be at the same level. this means you'll end up with a bit extra fluid. i'd rather have a little drag from extra fluid than be low and have an unprotected tranny.
