JDM H22a MYSTERY SOLENOID! Please help.. pix
I am in the middle of wiring my H22a for my 96 hatch, but have run into a few snags. On the intake manny, there is a black solenoid that is inline between the FPR and a nipple on the intake. It had 2 wires coming from it on the Prelude harness. I don't know what it is, and my Helms book is from an OBD2 engine, and does not list or show the solenoid at all. here's kinda a bad pic of it, but it gives you an idea.. Any help would be great? Do I need it? I imagine its part of the EVAP stuff for EGR, but want to be sure.
ugh. stupid red X. Here's the link..

that's a solenoid that goes from the FPR to the intake manifold with a solenoid sensor there that is NOT necessary.
that needs to be taken out and that vacuum line from the FPR needs to directly go to the nipple directly to the right of the throttle cable bracket (where that little vacuum line is)

yes it would work since there is vacuum on that sensor.
My IAB's are just connected to vacuum (the side nipples on the intake manifold) and will open up according to your throttle. H22A-CX did this and got mid 13
