Default Questions on B16/B18 build

Ok so im tryin to plan stuff for down the road when i go to do this swap. And i got a couple questions that ive tried figuring out myself and searched for but got nowhere searching.

Im gonna be buying the b16a sir2 and am gonna build it high compression all motor for some road racing and daily drive. now on to my questions.

1. ive been thinking about going with a gsr block to have more torque, now if i swap the b16's crank and rods will it keep the near perfect R/S ratio?

2. if i do that, ive thought that it will probably lower my compression since the gsr block is taller. is that right?

3.would i just be better off boring out the b16 block to match the .2 liter difference?

4. ive read about half one way half the other on this, are the ctr pistons worth it or are the p30's just fine? the ctr's will bump my compression but some say they're too domed and and dont burn well enough. anyone with experience using both please chime in on which you preffered.

thanks in advance if you have any experience/advice. i just want to get everything squared away before i get into this.

B16 crank/rods wont work in b18c block because of deck height.

Boring a b16 to 84mm still won't be 1.8L it will be just over 1.7L

The Jdm sir2 motor comes with p30 pistons stock. To bump the compression a little more shave the head alittle or get flat valves.

If you want the displacement with compression get a GSR block and throw the p30 pistons in there and call it a day. Get some nice cams and a good tune and you'll be more than happy. The r/s ratio of the b18 isn't that bad, they can still rev high, plus the have the crank gurdle
