is ys1 a cable lsd tranny?
not sure if it has lsd but it is a cable, http://drp.4t.com/honda_trans_chart.html i use thsi chart quite frequently. b-series tranny chart. I dont think many usdm tranny's have come with LSD til lately.
I've got a '92 Integra LS trans that has a YS1 sticker on it. Yes it's cable, yes it'll fit your B16. Mine hasn't got LSD though, and the gear ratios would be more suitable to a B18/B20 or FI B16...they're quite tall (we're talking 3500rpm/75mph here).
The YS1 had an optional LSD but not all YS1s have an LSD. They are tough to find and are highly sought after. The Y1 was the same way as it too came with an optional LSD.
yes some ys1's were equiped w/ the lsd....only jdm trannys not usdm...i should have the lsd out of it for sale in as soon as i get around to picking up my ys1 tranny. hopefully this weekend or next the latest

I'm probably just gonna go for an S1 myself.

the cable YS1 with optional lsd is a jdm tranny that has a 4.4 final drive.
What's makes the ys1 more sought after than the y1 is the ys1 is a beefier tranny and it's gears are the same as it's USDM 92-93 GSR counterpart. So if you have a YS1 w/ LSD and you break a gear or say, smooth out your input shaft it's possible to rebuild the tranny with parts from a USDM dealership.
If you have a Y1 that goes bad and you want to rebuild it I hope you speak japanese!
I paid 300$ EXTRA for my ys1 w/lsd

Good B series tranny resource. Follow the link back for alot of other good B-series info. From none other than Katman and the FF squad.
Oh yeah the link would help.

JDM trannies are not the same as the USDM ones. Same codes, different tranny. Keep that in mind when purcasing it. And yes a USDM YS1 or JDM YS1 will bolt to a Bseries motor, hence your B16.
