can my 1999 LS tow a 96 miata?
Towing capacity of your Teg is 1000lb, a Miata is just over 2300lb, so not a good idea, it is also a good bet you would get pulled over.
You must know someone with a pickup, better to pay them a few $ then drop the transmission out of your Teg, [big$$$$]. 94

thats cake if you know how to pull a heavy load. be gentle with the clutch but stay off it as much as possible and keep a steady pace. most important THE PERSON DRIVING THE CAR BEING TOWED NEED TO KNOW WTF THEY ARE DOING
ive towed a heavy *** acura TL with a gsr before. and lots of other cars with regular LS integras

I've towed a Grand cherokee with an 89 Prelude. I've seen a Legend tow an F-150, doesn't mean it was a smart move. It is possible, but I wouldn't recommend doing it unless BOTH you and the person in the Miata both have some prior experience flat towing cars. If this is your first time I can pretty much guarantee you will either break something or damage something on one or both cars.

My friends and I tow cars the ghetto *** way all the damn time. I use a $19.99 tow rope with hooks on the end. I hook up to the Civic/Integra rear tow hook. Tie off onto the other car's tow hook. No problems. It takes a lot of practice to get it smooth. The guy in the rear car has to be on the brakes pretty much constantly around town to keep the rope tight. Keep the rope tight at all times. That's VERY important to a smooth ordeal. Make very slow movements. Be predictable.
I have also pushed a prelude bumper to bumper using a tire as a cushion with an EF running on 3 cylinders. On the highway. At 70+mph. For like 50 miles. BAM! Homie don't pay for tow trucks.
