Icon2 How can i make my d16y8 faster

I've got a 98 Civic EX it's got a d16y8 Sohc vtec.
Is there anyway I can possibly make it faster?
Perhaps Swap a DOHC into it, I'm new on Hondas, & I'm just wondering what I can do to it.
Money really isn't a big deal just looking for some advise.

with money not being a deal..

means using the search function will be more valuable

as it covers, engine swaps (and all kinds of engine combo u can hope for)
however there is also a SOHC thread here in the n/a forums which could possibly give u insights with regards to your d16y8's potential

"faster" is kind of very vague so to speak... hence researching may help..

but if you can narrow down ur specific "hopes"
im sure alot of guru's here can shed some experiences and tons of light on the subject

No need to repost this in multiple forums. I'll reply to your PM here since your mailbox is currently full.

Will they fit my 98 Ex? If so please link me to where you bought them from.
Really want some circle ones, but seems only 99-00 and I don't really have the money to do a front end conversation currently. Please get back to me asap man!
I do have the set of rounds and a set of the squares. Both OE. I purchased both sets secondhand, though the round set are still BNIB. Neither are for sale. Sorry.

The directions posted say it's the round foglights for 1996-1998 Civics. So, yes... it would fit your 1998 Civic. (Seriously? That was a question?)

Your best bet is to look for a set of used ones or replica ones (some replicas have issues though - be cautious). Try eBay. OE ones will be pricier for sure. OE BNIB ones will probably set you back $300 at the very least.
