I have an Exedy Stage 2 3 puck cerametallic with a Exedy 9.5lb chromoly flywheel. If I had to do it again I think I might have gone with a 7lb flywheel. Clutch grabs hard and holds 228ft lbs which is about the same as the stage 1 but a puck clutch and cerametallic perform much different and much better IMO than a full organic street type disc.
Non-oe style clutches are complete overkill for remotely stock motors. An exedy stage 1 will be good for anything even up to 350+ whp.
Exedy makes phenomenal clutches. My room mate a few years back ran an OE replacement exedy for years on a 300whp d-series. The whole time I knew him though he had a 454whp b18b1 and used an exedy stage one the whole time. Never had a problem the 6 months I knew him. Drove it daily. Even had air conditioning, LOL. Something that's pretty necessary in Arizona.

I beg to differ, some clutches cannot take abuse simply because of the materials they are made of. Sure they will hold the power doing a pull but if you are drag racing where you have to preload and launch or are road racing where you use it a lot and get a lot of heat they slip, smell, and become inconsistent. Hence why I went with the stage 2 over stage 1. Almost the same holding power but how they both perform under certain driving conditions is completely different.

Stage 2 what? Stage 2 is something almost totally different depending on one of the many clutch manufacturers you choose.
Stage 2 means nothing unless you mention the manufacturer.
And I agree however, if you drag a lot and abuse your clutch it would benefit you to get one that is a bit over-rated for your power output. However a quality clutch line like exedy should be fine for abuse on its intended power rating.

Comp makes a good stage 1 / 2 clutch
I offer Action clutchs as my shop clutch and its pretty much on every car that i service that needs a clutch, or wants a clutch that holds power.
Action offers 7 different stages, after stage 4, you get a puck style clutch, i recommend for your setup a stage 3 or 4 pressure plate with a kelvar disc...oem disc will wear fairly quicker on you.
