i have a gsr bottom end with a jdm b16 head, i have a code 9, and code 41, code 9 is cylinder position sensor. vtec works when it wants, and just today i changed out the vtec solenoid and housing, then after i did that, it started making a wierd noise in the valvetrain, like vtec is engaging while idling took the valvecover off and checked the cams, theyre all riding on the rocker arms the propper way. ran the car with out the valvecover on, and heard the noise, but couldnt pin point it. can you guys give me some pointers on what to diag. thanks

 

is the internals in the vtec solenoid there like the spring ?
