so last night when i was leaving work i started my car up put it into reverse and all my lights inside and out, my radio, and my cluster were flickering??? however the engine stayed running with no sputter. the car wasn't in reverse yet as i still had my foot on the clutch. its a b18 swapped hatch and the car runs great otherwise. i dont know where to look or where to start at, once i put the car in 1st this issue went away???? its starting to get annoying cause it keeps resetting my clock and radio and when i leave it looks like a light show LOL. any ideas would be helpful thanks!

I'm not nearly qualified to say what it is as I am just learning all this stuff myself..

But a few places I might look is maybe your battery isn't putting out the same voltage anymore, so when you shift into reverse the power needed for your reverse lights draws from everything else?

Either that or there is some funky wiring issue with your reverse lights.

If I were you I would run(or have someone run) a battery diagnostic and see if it's still in good shape.

tried the battery and it tests out good. still seem to be lost, also i noticed that it does it in first occasionally as well.... any other ideas?
