Icon2 97 Civic LX Trans Problem

I have a 97 Civic LX automatic transmission. I have 2 CEL codes...P0700 (Transmission Control System) and P0753 (Shift Solenoid A, Electrical). From what i found about these codes people said to replace the shift solenoid. So i replaced it with a new one, and the codes came immediately back. Basically the car has trouble shifting into reverse, and shifts strangly in drive also. I have to rock it between drive and reverse a few times to get reverse to work. In drive it revs fine in first, then the switch to 2nd gear takes almost a full second, and it feels like it doesn't engage properly. So now that i have replaced the shift solenoid, does anyone have any suggestions what to do next? Do i need to just replace the trans? Any help would be much appreciated.
