EG Foglights + bumper frustration
Hello everyone, new to the Honda-tech forum and lookin for some help
I bought a pair of aftermarket foggies (like these-
)
for my 95 civic hatchback, and i didn't even realize they won't fit in my bumper! I could cut out slots in the bumper so I could fit the foglights in, but by then there would be nothing to mount them to.
So i've spent all morning trying to figure out exactly which bumper I need so I can mount my new foglights, and I have yet to find a clear answer. My car is a DX, and did not come with foglights, so the foglight "holes" in the bumper cover won't accommodate them. I'm assuming the Si bumpers will work? But then I look at pictures, they all look pretty much the same, and I don't want to end up buying a new bumper and have them not fit in that one either.
Someone help me out please?
Thanks

you have to cut certain parts of the foglight pockets out in order to fit the fog lights in your bumper.
Search for the installation here on H-T, should be easy to find.

No '92 - '95 Civic came from the factory with foglights, the bumpers were cut after the fact at the dealership where the foglights were added.

If you accidentally cut off the plastic mounting location then you're screwed. Get yourself new bumper or used unmolested. Any Civic 92-95 2 or 3 door. DO NOT GET THE 4 DOOR SEDAN BUMPER.

He has a hatch, so it has the spots for the lights.
I have an aftermarket bumper and it even has the little stems with holes to install fog lights.
An OEM bumper definitely will have the spots to install them.
