Default Civic 92-00 srr racing. Bearing Rod Assembly

What do you guys think about this product? Would it be worth it, they are $100.

CIVIC 92-00 SRR RACING. BEARING ROD ASSEMBLY

CAR : Honda Civic 1992-2000 All Models

Material : 10,000lb Fully Forged Aluminum

Bushing Material : Ball Bearing Bushings

It will Fit All the 1992-2000 Honda Civic 2 Door, 4 Door, and Hatchback's.

This item directly replaces the OEM Junk Bearing Rod. This item will eliminate all sloppiness during steering inputs. This will make the Steering wheel and Front Tires react PRECISE and not sloppy.
This item Makes Steering Enjoyable. It provides Crisp Steering, and eliminates the Junk feeling you have right now.For Road Racers and Drag Racers, This is a MUST HAVE to drive perfectly and react to situations. The OEM Bearing Rod is junk that makes Steering feel WAY TOO SLOPPY. These are a must for road and street raced Honda Civic's.IT Will completely change the way you take corners forever in the car

If I remember correctly, there was a warning on a site that sold those that said they are a race only part because a pothole or speedbump or something will totally **** **** up.

I would LOVE to hear how many thousanths of an inch of stock rod end movement defines "WAY TOO SLOPPY"! They do LOOK like racing parts, though, so strut brace logic applies but I wouldn't want to buy a used Civic that had a set of these living on it for a couple of years - ignored, unprotected, full of salt and grit, and not lubricated.

Bling,

Kirk

PS - I particularly like the reference to "street raced Honda Civic's [sic]". There is a clue there...

I like the MOOG tie rods on Nash's car. They're way beefier that OE, and they have a grease nipple on top of the ball joint.

ehh, maybe not Moog's...

http://www.safetyalerts.com/rcls/nht...t98/98e031.htm

anyway, I've spoken to SRR tech on this piece. they recommended use on full race car only. apparently the piece can get damaged if you jack up the car fully. from what he was trying to describe (in chinese), i'm guessing the rod end is not big enough to give it lots of range of movement so the suspension starts to drop it reaches the limit of the range... and could get damaged.

and performance wise as others have said probably is minimal. you can not feel any slop if the steering tie rods ball joints are in good shape.
