Good Idea Bad Idea?
Hello HT!!!
So i have a 92 with an 98 itr five lug conversion and been really wanting to upgrade my brakes bt with an upcoming wedding am on a limited budget (shell kill me if i buy spoon calipers) so am looking into legend calipers i been reading about this for a few days now bt am getting a lot of mixed feelings on this so i wanna know want you guys think...has anybody done this recently? will it make a noticeable difference from my single piston itr caliper? i currently have a 1in itr master cylinder brembo blank rotors and steel braided brake lines...as far as i know ill need a set of 93-95 legend coupe or 94-95 4dr Gs front calipers and perhaps having to slightly grind down my caliper bracket or run a 3-5mm spacer which i wouldnt mind any of this bt will this set up be safe(reliable)? and will it help me stop better? i would really appreciated some helpful input....thanx in advance

I run this setup, it works excellent...however I changed from an Integra RS setup so I can't say I've driven an ITR brake setup on a regular basis. I'd stick w/the ITR setup, I've heard its just as effective, if not more effective then the Legend setup.
In retrospect, the Legend setup was overkill but I had no need for something so powerful. They're sitting in a box in my garage collecting dust. What a waste...
If I was in your shoes I'd keep the ITR setup, your already on an 11" rotor, I refuse to believe an extra piston will be truly effective or worth it for that matter.

you mean to tell me they are so powerful you decided to take them off? what made you decide such thing? did you have any issues prior taking them off? sorry for all the questions...
The Legend and NSX calipers allow for the 28mm wide rotors and this is more mass, and I believe also wider cooling veins. This helps if you are tracking the car and overheating, does not add much to a single stop, or few stops. If the caliper and rotor are capable of locking up, or causing abs to come on, then you have enough brake and tire grip limits braking. I think that 11 inch rotors add a feeling of better modulation of the pedal, but you are already at 11 inch.
so the leged calipers is only a good upgrade for ppl that have stock integra brakes with the 10in rotor? in my case it wouldnt improve much....thanx guys
