FOR TRADE IS MY MANUAL ALPINE WHITE III 1997 BMW 328I SEDAN. I GOT THE CAR WITH 100,000 MILES. THE CAR NOW HAS 150,000 MILES.
I SWAPPED THE SUSPENSION TWICE. FIRST, I WENT WITH RACELAND COILOVERS I HAD THEM ON FOR ABOUT 45,000 MILES THEN SOLD THOSE AND GOT AN H&R SPORT CUP KIT WITH FRONT CAMBER PLATES. I HAD THE ROOF PAINTED BLACK, INSTALLED A CARBON FIBRE HOOD, PAINTED THE TRUNK BLACK AND INSTALLED A BLACK MAW SHAW REPLICA WING. INSTALLED M3 SIDE MOULDINGS, HAD M3 MIRRORS BUT WENT BACK TO STOCK MIRRORS, DEPO GEN IV ANGEL EYES WITH 55W 6000K HID KIT. I WAS TOLD THEY ARE THE BRIGHTEST ANGEL EYES AVAILABLE THEY ARE VISIBLE AT ALL TIMES OF THE DAY. IT ALSO HAS A M3 FRONT BUMPER, ECIS INTAKE, AA CATBACK EXHAUST. BRAND NEW ENGINE MOUNTS, TRANSMISSION MOUNTS, LCABS, RTABS, BALL JOINTS. AUTOSOLUTION SHORT SHIFT KIT (ONE OF THE BEST KITS AVAILABLE. M3 ZHP SHORT SHIFT ****. COOLING SYSTEM REPLACED, ENGINE GASKETS REPLACED. NEW SPARK PLUGS. CAR IS BABIED, SYNTHETIC OIL, 93+ GAS ONLY, LUCAS OIL AND GAS TREATMENTS. 2 NEW SPARCO R100 RACING SEATS WITH SPARCO SLIDERS ALMOST 100% MINT. INTERIOR WAS SWAPPED FROM TAN TO BLACK USING HIGH QUALITY VINYL AND PLASTIC DYE. 20% TINTS ON ALL BACK WINDOWS. WINDSHIELD WAS REPLACED WITH OEM GLASS DUE TO A CRACK. 12.5 MM SPACERS IN FRONT 15MM SPACERS IN BACK.
BAD: - A FEW RUST SPOTS AND ONE ACCIDENT. IT WAS A FRONT FENDER BENDER NOT SERIOUS. FRONT BUMPER WAS UPGRADED TO AN OEM M3 BUMPER. ONE HEADLIGHT WAS BUSTED SO THATS WHEN I UPGRADED THE HEADLIGHTS AND CORNER LIGHTS.
- I THINK THE ORIGINAL CLUTCH AND FLYWHEEL ARE STILL ON THE CAR, THE CLUTCH HAS BEGUN TO SLIP. I'M NOT IN A RUSH TO TRADE SO I WILL PROBABLY END UP UPGRADING THE CLUTCH AND FLYWHEEL.
- SLIGHT STEERING WHEEL SHAKE AT 70+, I THINK THE CAR NEEDS AND ALIGNMENT OR MAYBE A NEW WHEEL BEARING. NOT 100% SURE GOING TO FIGURE IT OUT.
I ORIGINALLY BOUGHT THE CAR FOR $7,500 I HAVE RECEIPTS TOTALING OVER $13,000 IN MAINTENANCE AND MODIFICATIONS. ANYTHING THAT WAS REPLACED WAS EITHER OEM OR EXCEEDS OEM QUALITY. CAR HAS NEVER BEEN TRACKED BUT THE H&R CUP KIT, ENGINE MOUNTS, TRANSMISSION MOUNTS, AND ALL OTHER BUSHING ARE TRACK QUALITY. PERFECT 50/50 WEIGHT DISTRIBUTION. THE SEDAN IS THE LIGHTEST BODY-STYLE OF THE E36'S AND STRUCTURALLY THE BEST FOR THE TRACK.
