86 d16a1 head on a 89 jdm zc dohc
i bought a jdm dohc, the head is no good. i need to know what would be the best head to use. ive found a 86 integra in the scrap yard. thinking about using as parts motor. i also need to know if i can use the bottom end too...
86 D16A1 head won't work on the 88 and up DOHC ZC - it will bolt on but the mounting for the distributor and cylinder sensor are different - also, the bolt holes for the inner timing belt cover are not the same - all of the valve train would work
my zc head is shot a lifter forced a valve into #3 piston and twisted a rod. no free float but really twisted. block is still good. i need to know what would be the best way to go?
get another ZC head - here is one that just showed up this morning:
