Default Replacing intake mani gasket.

Any tips for replacing the intake manifold gasket. The two bolts on the underside of the manifold look pretty difficult to access. Other then removing the oil filter and intake braces are there any other tips to make this an easy process?

Thx

Why patience, is it a long procedure or difficult at some points?
How about the specific torque and sequence. I doubt my torque wrench will be able to access the bolts on the underside.. can these be free handed?

those two you are talking about, are extremely difficult to get to. even with the motor out of the bay.

Any reason to remove Intake gasket? It is not easy to remove with engine in vehicle.
The intake manifold gasket made by metal and I never seen any leak (worked at HONDA dealer more than 6 yrs and master certified).
If you have plan to change head gasket, remove head with intake manifold together.
Anyway, I'd like to tell some hint.
Need 1/4" hand ratchet and 1/4" 12mm deep and shallow socket. 6" and 12" extension.
(wobble extension is better) 10mm 1/4 shallow scoket.
Under the car, there is 2 bracket to hold engine block and intake manifold- remove bracket.(left side have 2 10mm bolt hold and right side have 3 10mm bolt).
remove oil filter. use wobble 6" extension with 12mm socket on the bolt then put ratchet. It takes time as non of tool will not be fit for tight area.
(I have taken out every time when head was out of car).
Any further help? let me know.

Thanks All,

Charlie, I am replacing the gasket because I suspect a leak due to stumbling when sprayed down with carb cleaner on the left (transmission side) underneath.

I plan to do this job in the next week or two, and will report back.. maybe take some pictures along the way and make a DIY..pending i'm not getting to frustrated.

Replaced the gasket and inspected everything on the intake side... there are no leaks. Made no difference to the symptoms...
