Opinions on possible suspension change
Please close tread, car is being sold back to previous owner due to the extensive amount of repairs needed. Being fully refunded. Returning the suspension setup that was ordered.
Thanks to you all for providing all the information you have. I've learned a good amount

With the money you saved not buying a camber kit upgrade to better suspension that what you've listed.
Many frequent visitors to this forum will generally agree with this list:
<$600 Progress CS-II
<$800 Koni/Ground Control
<$1000 Koni race/Ground Control
<$1100 PIC
<$1200 AMR

Normally I wouldn't directly agree with a response but EK has it pegged down for the most part, and knows his $hit.
Suspension directly depends on the amount of money your willing to spend...as you'll read numerous times.... "You get what you pay for." Just don't cheap out, and go with a product thats tried and true, the list from EK above is that of hundreds of happy customers.
GL OP!

Thanks for the feedback.
I've heard of the Koni/Ground Control but none of the others. I'm going to have to do some research on them.
Are those listed just coil over kits or do they require me to match up shocks/struts for them, say the AMR.
If you could provide links to which ones for each so I know that if the one's I'm finding are the same that would be greatly appreciated.
Prey - I know exactly what you mean. Since it's my DD I am trying to make it have the nicest ride quality I can with it still being lowered. I know it's a hard combination but I know there is a middle ground.

The koni combos are the only ones that are shock/coil sleeve. You do have to assemble the Progress so I guess it's similar, but it doesn't really have a perch.
AMR, PIC, and Progress are considered full bodied coilovers.

Thanks Ek.
I'll post up what I find. I'm looking at the PIC suspension right now. AMR's website wasn't loading for me so I went to PIC. I'm looking at the different "Levels" which I'm assuming is spring rate.

AMR has a for sale thread here in the sponsor marketplace. The sponsor marketplace is home to some of the best deals on the internet. You are going to be hard pressed to find lower prices.
AMR is around $100-200 cheaper on his honda-tech thread than from the website.
Andy is a good guy. The Valving on each unit he sells is different and matched to your spring rate and purposes.
Also, each adjustment is significant compared to most shocks where you have to do lots of turning to make a significant increase.

I was reading through your thread. I noticed you went with Progress. How do you like it? Right now I'm just browsing around trying to figure out what is best for me. Am I going to see a huge difference comparing the Progress vs PIC/AMR?
I kind of want a setup where I can set it up once and forget it if that helps at all.

What do you want to do with the car and what are you willing to spend?
I love my progress setup, even still, I wish I'd waited a week and spend the extra $200 on Koni/Ground control. The lifetime warranty alone is worth it. Not to mention you get adjustable damping, and I could have gone with rates more like 500Front/400Rear and just softened up the damping in the rear for daily driving. I've got 350Front/350Rear rates now and it's very tolerable. I do wish i had stiffer front rates for the height I'm at currently.

The car is my daily. I am trying to get the best ride quality with a low stance. I know there is some sacrifice which I can deal with. It's a 100% street car. Will not be on any track or drag strip.
Money, I don't really have a number. I wouldn't say a "budget" build but not the "best of the best"

If you'd like a functional drop mine is at the edge of being counter-productive. My front could probably come up .25"
Any coilover will let you keep the height you have. Most all will have a 1-3" range of drop which will be ample for you.
If you aren't interested in tracking the car and just want a nice handling smooth daily driver I'd recommend getting Progress CS-II 350lbs front with 250lbs rear springs.
That will run you about $580 shipped. If you'd like to spend $220 more dollars and get a lifetime warranty, more flexible spring rates, and adjustable damping you can get Koni/Ground control.

If you plan on having 1 finger gap or lower in the front you should really consider getting 400-500lb front rates.
Rear spring rate tends to affect the ride quality the most.
Edit: also my post above if you missed it.
@EK - I am going to look into the Koni/Ground Control.
I'm assuming it's similar to the Skunk2/Tokico setup I posted. Have to get the coil kit then the shocks/struts and assemble.
Thanks again for yall your help.

The setup is $799 shipped from THMotorsports via the honda-tech member discount. Shoot the dealer a PM.
Do you have a specific recommendation for the sway bars? I have seen a lot of people locally using Beaks. I'm assuming its mostly just personal preference.
So at the end it would:
Koni/Ground Control coil setup
*Brand name here* front and rear sway bars
And I should be solid other than replacing any bushings that need to be when I'm installing.

Beaks is old technology and now used mostly for bling. An ASR bar or a Function7 like mine serve the purpose of a 96-00 chassis very well.
Name brand doesn't really matter too much as long as it's somewhat reputable. Suspension Techniques, Progress, Eibach, Blox even.
I would go with a 22mm Rear and your car may already have a front swaybar. The EM1 has a 26mm swaybar that many track enthusiasts don't like. Many upgrade to a smaller front anti roll bar 14-19mm.
OEM front bars can be had for cheap, you will likely need front LCAs that accommodate the endlinks however.

Awesome. I will have to check to see if mine has any already. The guy I bought it from didn't list everything. Like I know my car has an exhaust leak that I'm taking to get fixed by a local shop and I didn't even realize that it was an aftermarket header. The name was covered by rust/dirt and when I was wiping it off it had it imprinted.
