1/4" x 2" x 18.xxx" aluminum flat stock.
1) one piece across the rails up front and one piece across the rear for each seat mount
2) then bolted the aluminum pieces to the bottom of the seat.

nice and sturdy!

 

ahah thats all you need, duck tape is a great idea
