S2000 - RPM Driver Questions - S2000 Engine in a kitcar
Hi All - greetings from across the pond (UK)
Hopefully this is the right forum :D
I have installed an S2000 engine, box, diff, cut down propshaft, modified rear axles into a kitcar (Caterham 7)
I also have the digi-dash which I'm keen to use
I have 2 engine looms and 1 body loom, along with key/transponder etc - but I decided to get a new 'unlocked' ECU.
I was going to hack the loom about and keep the standard ECU, but I have a spare ECU from another project (Emerald K6 ECU).
As I have the S2000 gearbox, I'm relatively confident of getting the VSS module to power the 'SPEED' indicator on the dash, but not so confident on the RPM/Tacho signal.
Does anybody have the values of what the RMP/Tacho output to the Dash is? The ECU software is pretty flexible, so hoping I can convert it to drive the Dash. I had to do this on my Elise when fitting the other Emerald ECU.
This time I thought I'd try and get ahead of the game.
Cheers
