Screech when turning
It doesnt happen all the time but seems to be more frequent in cooler weather. But when I turn the wheel it makes a loud VERY annoying noise that sounds like metal rubbing metal. It happened in the past and my lower ball joint broke after some time, i replaced it, but that was not the issue. I have also replaced the upper control arm/ball joint, tie rods and i cant figure out what it is. Any help is appreciated.
Jack up your front end and make sure your front end Is tight first off. Look for any areas that look like there has been rubbing. Check the dust shield sway bar end links.
When dose it happen left or right turns. Any recent repairs did anything happen before this started happening

When I jack the car up there is no noise at all when turning the wheels. All bolts seem tight and there is no noticeable wear. I have replaced everything listed above since the noise started... the only thing i haven't is the inner tie rod, which I know is messed up, and plan on replacing soon. I don't think that is causing the noise because it seems to be coming from directly behind the wheel... I plan on taking a deeper look this weekend
jacked the car up today... no noticeable wear. Like I stated before my inner tie rod is in bad shape but I don't really know if that would cause that type of noise. Any chance it could be my shocks or springs?

i think i know what you're talking about. my car may have the same problem. happens when stopped and i turn the wheel all the way to the lock on the left side. only happens at the lock. it will, of course, feel like it's coming from the column. but that's only because vibration (sound) will travel through all linkages. i haven't bothered to look and see what it is. i know it's not a joint. i know what those sound like when they're dry.
possibly a rack bushing. or maybe even one of the two knuckles in the steering column. that's my guess without looking. try spraying lube at your suspects one by one. work it in real good. when you find the one that makes the noise cease, replace it.
if you get this resolved before i do, let us know what the culprit was and i'll do the same
good luck

It doesn't necessarily sound like a belt, more like metal on metal and like I said only happens occasionally. I will try the above mentioned methods and see what happens. Thanks for all the input, any more would be appreciated!
Not to be rude, but why don't you fix what you know needs to be fixed as opposed to sitting on HT guessing at possible problems.
Have you checked to verify that your wheel bearings are good?
