Koni strut insert into a EP3 - Need some help!
Are both the 02-04 Base and Type-S RSX strut housings 55mm? The reason being is that I have an 05 EP3 that was supposed to be 55mm, but unfortunately is 50mm. It baffles me that Koni of North America has two civic struts for the 01-05. The 02-03 ep3 were 50mm, while the 04-05 are 55mm, but my car (05) proved that to be wrong.
The part number I ordered 8610 - 1415S is the same as the RSX for the inserts, so I just wanna make sure before I start cutting up strut housings again. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Why don't you measure it out before you cut? I made that mistake once, got them cut open and went to press them in and was like "yeah these are wrong".
I think mine were technically "wrong" for my car too so that is why I say to measure it out.

After all I had gathered these past few months, it seemed I had nothing to worry about. The 05's were supposedly equipped with 55mm strut housings. I have other cars to use, so the ep3 being outta commission for a week or so is no worry to me. I'm gonna go grab some measuring calipers and check a few rsx strut housings at the junkyard to see if their are any variances between base and type-s. Figured a base or type-s rsx owner, who has used Koni inserts could chime in. Thanks for the thoughts though.
