Is there a way to tell if the mirrror is heated or not? Also how many wires should the mirror be if it is heated.

I don't think it would genorate enough heat to feel it.
Fog it up with your breath and see if it goes a way ten mins after its on.

 

I think he means how to tell off of the car. Looks as though the plastic holder around the glass element is an identifier.

A friend of mine has a '96 3.2Tl, I'm sure they're slightly different, but the mirrors get hot if they're left on, and unlike some of the other features they don't turn off when the cars turned off, well they turn off, but come on again when the cars started again, unless manually turned off. Kind of annoying, but I assume theyve fixed that since then.

 

Shouldn't it be a 3 wire connector instead of 2 wires?

Last resort, you can take the mirror off the actuator and see if wires are hooked to the mirror itself.

 

I'll figure it out on my own.
