Ok to start you need to get some pay oil and I'm going to dug getting new o rings for the system. When assembling you use the pay oil to lubricated the o rings.

Now for my question has the system been sitting open in the engine bay ie the evaporate and condense. Did so were the holes plugged or open for contaminents. If so you will need to flush the system before sealing it.

My last and biggest price of advice is have a shop evacuation and charge your system. One because those autozone DIY canisters imo are dumb. You can easily over charge your system and cause a failure in the compressor or cause the reliefe port to pop. Secondly the system is put under a vacume for a min of 30 minutes to ensure it is sealed propely. Those DIY kits use a dealer in them which I've found from my experience to cause a compressor failure, the drier to clog etc etc.

Good luck

Ditto what TheAsian said, kind of...

As he said,if system has been sitting around open, you should flush everything, except compressor, drain any oil out of it, fill with C4s oil and drain it all out, then add 2oz of Ester oil and cap off the compressor and stand it on it's clutch so the front seal can get oiled, in fact cap off everything you flush out untill it is time to install it.

Replace all Orings/seals as you install the components.

The hose should be easy as it will realy only fit one way.

Once all is installed have a shop evacuate and recharge the system, let them know you have flused the system and compressor has 2oz of C4s oil in it, ask them to topit up with Ester oil, if you have not done so yourself, [99 Integra A/C system has a 5oz charge of oil] you can split that between the compressor and the filter/dryer before you put things together.

If the car had A/C then all the wiring should be there.

The shop should have the system on a vacuum pump for at least 3/4 to 1 hr to insure any moisture is boiled off, this is very important.

Remember to keep everything clean, get a box of rubber gloves so hands are cleanwhen installing O rings and seals, all it takes is a little speck of dirt to keep O rings and seals from sealing and any dirt at all in the system is a very bad thing. 94
