Code 1 - O2 Sensor Help
Hi guys, I was hoping you could offer some advice for a problem I have been having lately.
I recently swapped an JDM h22a into my 92 Prelude Si. When I run the car with a JDM P13 (I've tried mine and my friends), after a bit of driving I get a CEL code 1 (o2 sensor). The car also runs like crap w/ the P13...hesitation and lagging. When I use my P14 (Si ecu), the car runs somewhere between decent and great, and I receive NO CEL codes.
I went ahead and got a new O2 sensor and swapped it out, but I still get the code and the lagging/hesitation w/ the P13, and like before, the P14 runs fine and throws no code!
I've followed the Helms as much as I could in diagnosing this although I dont have the test harness they keep referring to. It seems I have almost no voltage between the White(+) and Grn/Wht(-) wires on the engine side of the O2 sensor connection harness. So my guess would be there is some sort of short in the White wire between the O2 connection harness and the ECU.
Im really not sure what to do next. Any suggestions would be appreciated or if you can conjecture as to why the P13 throws an o2 code but the P14 does not, I would be very interested in hearing it.
Oh btw, on the new O2 sensor (Its a Walker from oxygensensors.com)...When I compare the two connectors from my old o2 sensor and the new one, both have 2 black wires. The new one has a white and blue, and the old one has a white and green, however they are reversed on the connector. I know a wire is a wire and I have no idea what the wire is connected to inside the O2 sensor, but has anyone else noticed this?
Thanks and sorry for the long post.
