how badd is it???
how badd is the tranny on the RSX-S. I heard everyone saying that its really bad. Im just curious. Is it from the driver or is it really the tranny. I have a friend and he broke his tranny at palmdale, and blow a whole in his cylinder wall. So hes a getting a new motor, wuth a new tranny. But hes a crazy driver, he grinds alot, he shifts real fast. So i doubt its the car. all help is appreciated. thanx

Your friend sounds like a typical candidate for a catastrophic mis-shift.
Technically, all mis-shifts are due to driver error, and even professional race drivers occaisionally do it. Slowing down your shifting hand not only greatly reduces your risk of mis-shifting it also saves your synchros.
That said, I can see why it would be easier to mis-shift an RSX-S than some other cars. The shift pattern is rather tight, and the cable-actuated shifter does not provide the mechanical feedback of a linkage-actuated shifter. This is why I do not like cable shifters.
